I was packing for a trip to a Texas resort—the kind with a lazy river by day and upscale dinners by night. I needed something to toss over my swimsuit for walking around. Something lightweight, a little snazzy, and cute enough to wear to the bar later.
I searched everywhere—and came up empty.
Everything I found was either too basic, too boxy, or clearly made for men. Where were the bold prints? The animal prints? The color? The fit?! I thought, If I can't find this online, it must not exist.
So, I created it.
Vaquera Outdoors was born from the simple idea that women deserve outdoor shirts that work hard and look great. Our fishing shirts are made with high-quality, performance-driven fabrics—think wrinkle-resistant, sun-blocking, moisture-wicking—and designed specifically for women who want to move, explore, and show up with flair.
This is outdoor wear, reimagined—for women like us.
Our Origins
Back in 2002, I bought a few pieces of Native American jewelry on my honeymoon in Santa Fe—and ended up selling them almost immediately. That spark turned into Vaquera Style, a jewelry and accessories shop known for its Mexi-Cali edge, boho-western vibes, vintage flair, and one-of-a-kind finds.
Over the years, the brand grew into a full-on lifestyle—and now, it’s evolving again.
